Definitely a mixed experience. I ordered several varieties of rock tumbling grit on December first and have only received half my order. The grit that I have received seems to be good quality and work well, but I am quite frustrated to not have received half my order after almost 5 months. Support has been friendly and helpful as far as they were able, but still aren’t able to give me estimates when one of the grits will ship. This is frustrating to say the least, although I do understand that the last year has been terrible for supply chains.

Purchase 4 different types of stone. The variegated tigers eye appears to be plain brown tigers eye not what was described. The chopstick agate doesn’t appear to be agate but a Jasper. I haven’t decided what to think about the Rosetta Stone and gold sheen obsidian. Overall a disappoint.

I wanted to take this time to compliment Highland Park Lapidary and the customer service. Every time I call or drop an email, they are very responsive and answer all my questions. I even got a notice telling me of an upcoming sale and I was able to save some extra money to make my purchase during the sale. They are very pleasant to work with. Their emails are instructive for my tumbling process. I am coming back to rock tumbling after several years and they have guided me through the process well.

Was really pleased with the quality of the rough rocks I purchased from Highland park. I also purchased a 4.5lb tumbler a while ago, and although the original gasket had a manufacturers issue, the Customer Service at Highland Park was great at ensuring I received their new revised version. The tumbler itself has been terrific and It has been going non stop since I purchased it.

I got my 16 inch slab saw yesterday. I’m 66 years old and have received quite a few packages in my life. I can honestly say this is the best packaging I’ve ever seen. A heavy duty wood crate allowed my saw to travel from China to the US and then trucked to my home. There’s not a dent, not a scratch, not a chip of missing paint anywhere. That’s impressive. But on top of that the saw is of incredible quality. Heavy metal plating and great welds. I looked at several brands of slab saws and I’m so glad I chose HP. The 10% discount was nice, too!

Saw arrived today all wrapped, crated and in pristine condition. The entire process has been great with the sales, customer service, shipping and all the helpful videos. The saw is very well constructed and will provide years of enjoyment for me, our children, grandchildren and eventually great grand children and beyond. Thank you Highland Park Lapidary!
