Description
Model R1M commercial grade 1 meter (39 inch) diameter reciprocating flat lap for production lapping and polishing. Includes 110 lbs of coarse grit and 55 lbs of fine (400 graded grit) for the perfect grinding and polishing process.
Specifications
Motor: 1/2 horsepower Nema 56 motor.
Pulleys: The pulleys are heavy duty cast iron and will not wear out prematurely like the cheap die cast zinc pulleys commonly used by other manufacturers
Main Shaft and Bearings: The main shaft is a massive 1 3/4" diameter and has heavy duty pillow block bearings that support all the rotating parts.
Spider and Spider Bearing: The spider supports the main plate and is connected to the main shaft with the heavy duty cast iron flange type spider bearing. This design of the spider allows the unit to be leveled easily and for ease of mounting the main plate. The spider is suspended by heavy chains from the main frame.
Main Plate: 1 meter (39 3/8") diameter, 10mm (.39") thick steel plate that is reversible, so the plate can be flipped to use the second side.
Bumper Ring: The durable steel bumper ring prevents the workpieces for colliding with the sides of the main plate.
Main Frame: The R1m frame is made from heavy duty steel U channel, welded solidly with reinforcement gussets at all the typical strain points to insure frame integrity. Unlike many reciprocal laps on the market the Highland Park Lapidary R1M has 3 legs, which makes leveling and balancing the unit much easier than the typical 4 leg configurations.

Free Freight applies to deliveries within the lower 48 United States and includes delivery of the equipment by standard freight truck with liftgate service to a location immediately off the street or at the furthest point safely accessible by the truck (such as the end of a driveway or designated access point).
Free Freight does not include delivery into a facility, garage, or interior space, nor does it include hand-moving, placement, setup, or positioning of equipment.
No handling charges are added beyond the stated product price; however, if your location cannot accommodate standard large-truck access, or if special access, re-delivery, or additional services are required, additional fees may apply.
For customers requiring inside delivery or special handling beyond curbside/liftgate service, we recommend engaging a local moving or rigging service, as we cannot coordinate these services in-house.
