Model RT75 75 lb Rotary Rock Tumbler
The Highland Park Big Barrel Rotary Rock Tumblers are designed for power and process efficiency and long life. While most Rotary Tumblers are made using standard Nema type AC motors we have seen huge advantages to using Brushless DC motors where the electrical power consumption is often less than half of conventional AC motors. Since Rotary Tumblers are often running weeks at the time this can be a substantial savings for the Tumbler owner. Our Big Barrel Rotary Tumblers are ideal for tumble polishing large batches of stone, or to do burnishing, deburring or other processes on metal components.
The serpentine pulley and belt drive coupled with the gear motor allows the pulley covers to be very small and reduces the surface speed of the belts and pulleys thus reducing the wear on these parts. With a single belt, both shafts are driven eliminating any potential barrel slippage and resulting is very quiet operation.
The (3) 25-pound barrels are constructed of heavy gauge stainless steel so they will never wear out and the thick liner and lid gasket will have a long life and is easily replaceable.
The controller is an industrial rated 1⁄3 HP 110V unit with a built-in power switch.
Barrel load size: Because the density of different materials varies, the load capacity will fluctuate depending on these densities. When loading the barrel, it should be loaded ¾ full regardless of the batch weight to achieve the best results, overloading and unloading the barrel will cause you to get poor results so be mindful in loading the barrel correctly.

Main Shaft and Bearings: The main shafts are thick 25mm diameter hardened steel and run on heavy duty cast iron pillow block bearings with grease fittings.
Barrel: 11.875" diameter rugged stainless steel with heavy duty replaceable rubber liner.
Main Frame: The RT75 frame is made from heavy gauge stainless steel
